Shepard Design Studio is a full-service interior design firm based in Walnut Creek, California. Serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including Walnut Creek, Danville, Alamo, Lafayette, Orinda, San Ramon, Oakland and San Francisco, as well as residential and commercial projects throughout California and nationwide.

Led by Erica Shepard, NCIDQ certified Interior Designer, our studio is known for creating artfully tailored interiors that balance beauty, function, and thoughtful execution. From custom homes and renovations to boutique commercial and hospitality spaces, Shepard Design Studio brings deep industry knowledge, refined design sensibility, and highly personalized process to every project.

Shepard Design Studio, founded by Erica Shepard, is the culmination of over 16 years in the Architecture & Design industry. With extensive experience working for internationally recognized Architecture & Design firms consistently ranked among the world’s top A&D practices, Erica now leads her studio, known for its innovative solutions and outstanding results across projects of varying sizes and complexities. Her experience includes work on nationally recognized and award-winning projects across the Architecture & Design industry.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University, Erica brings a formally trained and technical foundation to her work, something that sets her apart within the residential design industry. She holds certifications including NCIDQ and LEED AP ID+C, along with affiliations with IIDA, highlighting her commitment to industry excellence. When hiring an interior designer, these types of professional qualifications and credentials are important indicators of formal training, technical expertise, and industry standards experience.

Erica combines her comprehensive knowledge with a refined, thoughtful approach - translating clients visions into cohesive, well executed interiors. Outside the design world, she draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Northern California, be it through cycling in Sonoma's vineyards, paddleboarding on Lake Tahoe, or exploring exhibitions at SFMOMA.
